A brief timeline: I was born in San Jose, California and moved to Gilbert, Arizona during elementary grade school. I then attended Arizona State University for my undergrad and then moved to Columbus, Ohio for the graduate phd program at the Ohio State University.

I enjoy backpacking/camping/hiking in nature and enjoy playing badminton. The picture above (2021) was taken at the one sad hiking destination in the flatlands of Ohio: Hocking hills. Below, is a picture I took while hiking the Iceberg Lake trail at Glacier National Park in summer 2021. Growing up in Arizona, I have been spoiled with a wide variety of beautiful hiking options ⛰️.

I have one 🐈 : Miso (~1.5 yr old @ Nov 2021, in pictures below).

Lastly, I suppose it must be mentioned that my favorite animal is the capybara, the world’s largest rodent. I had the chance to see and pet a few capys at the Kobe Animal Kingdom in 2018 and 2019.

Here is video of a few capybaras taking a hot outdoor bath. One manages to balance a mandarin on its head! 🍊🍊🍊 かわいい! 🍊🍊🍊
